Not for worse

Not For Worse

Remember all the things we did, when we were younger we were kids

Now the years have past, and I wish I was back there once again.

Time has changed me not for worse, another passing hour searched

For a chance to see, If  I could somehow win the prize again

Pacing through the night, waiting for the break of light, to do it all again.

Take a look around, shadows on the wall, darkness almost gone, mornin’s on the way.

Life is on your side, don’t be afraid to fall, take your own sweet time, you are not alone.

Though I know I’m not alone, Certainly time can take it’s toll

On a soul that turns it’s back on everything it needs.

To survive and find the words, to another hidden verse,

Someday soon I hope to find poetic justice.

Hope to see the sun, and wonder which way to run from all the things I’ve done

Take a look around, shadows on the wall, darkness almost gone, mornin’s on the way.

Life is on your side, don’t be afraid to fall, take your own sweet time, you are not alone.
